We're inviting adults (18+) to join us for a relaxed, fun-filled one-hour Comedy Taster in Letchworth Garden City. Whether you've always wanted to try comedy, build your confidence, meet new people, or simply enjoy an evening of laughter, this is the perfect place to start.
What to Expect
This isn't about being the funniest person in the room.
It's about enjoying yourself in a welcoming, supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to have a go at their own pace.
During the evening you can:
🎤 Try speaking into a microphone in a relaxed and supportive environment.
✍️ Get a taste of comedy writing by exploring how comedians create jokes.
📖 Choose a joke from our joke wall or make your own joke; if you’re feeling brave, have a go at performing it on stage.
😂 Take part in fun comedy games and activities to help build confidence and creativity.
☕ Enjoy light refreshments while meeting and chatting with other people interested in comedy.
❓ Ask questions about stand-up comedy, performing, confidence, and what it’s like to start your comedy journey.
No Pressure. Just Fun.
One of the biggest worries people have is:

The good news is... you don't have to be!
Our Comedy Taster is designed for complete beginners. There is no pressure to perform, and you're welcome to take part as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
Many people simply come along to watch, meet others and see what it's all about.
